As part of the development and enhancement of smart technologies and the exploration of best practices, the Financial Audit Authority is preparing to participate in the 44th edition of GITEX Global 2024, which will begin on October 14 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and continue until October 18.
The event is distinguished by promising potential, as GITEX is a dynamic platform that brings together innovation and technology. It aims to enhance Dubai's position as a global hub for innovation and highlight the most important practices in the world of artificial intelligence.
The participation of the Financial Audit Authority in GITEX is part of its strategies aimed at implementing the latest technologies and smart improvements to build strong foundations for auditing. This is achieved through offering innovative, professional audit services with high added value, which enhances trust and contributes to realizing Dubai's vision.
At GITEX, the Financial Audit Authority will present three new digital services aimed at enhancing the management of public funds. One of these is the Al Mo’ashir Dashboard, a central platform designed to provide analyses and insights through key data and indicators derived from the Financial Audit Authority’s auditing activities. It displays the status of each governmental and semi-governmental entity under audit. The Al Mo’ashir Dashboard aggregates information from various applications, databases, and internal systems used by the Authority in its auditing processes, covering operations, compliance, performance, financial data, and financial and administrative criminal violations.
The Financial Audit Authority is also launching the Financial Violations Reporting Platform as an essential part of its mission to provide innovative, value-added professional audit services. This platform is designed to facilitate the reporting of financial and administrative violations by entities under its supervision. By creating this specialized platform, the Financial Audit Authority aims to foster a collaborative environment that combats fraud and promotes ethical behavior among the various entities under its audit.
In addition, the Financial Audit Authority has introduced a Legislative Platform, which is well-organized and equipped with a powerful search engine. This is considered a promising step in transforming the auditing process by significantly improving efficiency, accuracy, and comprehensiveness. The platform provides easy access to essential legislative texts covering multiple categories, making it an indispensable tool for auditors and legal professionals.
In turn, Mr. Amir Ali Al Gergawi, Executive Director of the Corporate Support Sector at the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai, praised GITEX's prominent role in showcasing the latest developments in artificial intelligence and advanced technological innovations. Emphasizing the importance of participating in the exhibition, he stated: "We join this international event out of our commitment to improving and developing our digital services and staying informed on best practices in the field of artificial intelligence, which contributes to enhancing our technological practices in modern digital fields. We aim to make a significant leap in utilizing technology and artificial intelligence in the governmental auditing and oversight sector. We leverage the technological innovations presented at GITEX to strengthen governance efforts and ensure the protection and sustainability of public funds."
It is worth mentioning that the participation of the Financial Audit Authority in GITEX 2024 represents an exceptional opportunity to enhance the Authority's commitment to innovation and digital transformation in its services. This marks an important step towards achieving Dubai's vision of becoming the smartest city globally, and the most efficient and integrated in terms of electronic connectivity for government services provided to stakeholders across various government departments. Moreover, it reinforces Dubai’s leadership in the field of smart government services. This event is a remarkable opportunity for both governmental and non-governmental entities to participate in the exhibition, explore the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and advanced technological innovations, and most importantly, gain a close look at the three new digital services introduced by the Financial Audit Authority for its stakeholders.
